How to change the registrant for .it domains (Domain Reseller)

The registration of .it domains involves certain restrictions when entering the mandatory data.

Using the “SupportHost” module for WHMCS for domain reselling, you benefit from automatic data validation:

  • When your client fills out the fields in the client area to register a new domain, the module checks for errors (for example, ensuring they are not registering the domain as an individual by entering a VAT number instead of a tax code).
It Domain Registration Additional Fields

However, if you are registering a domain from the WHMCS admin area or making a change to the domain registrant, you need to know how to enter the data correctly and understand the applicable rules.

If you see an error during registration, read the guide on how to fix registration errors for .it domains.

Required data for registering a .it domain

The registration of .it domains requires three contacts:

  • The registrant
  • The admin contact
  • The tech contact

During the registration of a domain (and for changes, such as changing the domain registrant), you must enter the required information for these three contacts.
