What is the price of the domain at renewal?
With SupportHost the domain is always included in the price. Also the renewal.
We do not like bad surprises, and even less do we like to give them to our customers. That’s why we decided to offer clear prices and not to increase the price at renewal, contrary to what most providers do.
What does Semidedicated means?
A Semidedicated hosting plan is the middle ground between shared hosting
and a dedicated server
or VPS cloud hosting
. What everyone sells as “web hosting” is a shared hosting, i.e. a space on a server that is shared by several users. On the contrary in a dedicated solution the whole machine is yours, so you have more resources and higher costs.
A SemiDedicated plan is conceptually the same as a shared plan, with the difference that the maximum number of accounts on the server is limited. This way we can guarantee a higher number of resources for each account, this translated into maximum performances for your site. In fact it is a multi-domain hosting
(or fractionable hosting
) but with more resources, therefore able to support large levels of visits.
Who needs a semidedicated hosting?
You need a semidedicated hosting if you have a high traffic website that consumes a lot of resources. Or if you have several websites. Using multi-domain web space you can host several websites on the same hosting account.
Are taxes included in the price?
We only charge VAT to private people in EU and Estonia businesses. If you have a VAT number or live outside of Europe all invoices will be VAT exempt.
Where are your servers located?
All our servers are located in Germany, Finland and Virginia (USA). You can check all details of our datacenter

The location of the data center has no relevance for speed (as long as we stay in Europe). There are no differences between a site hosted in Italy and one hosted in another country in Europe. The difference is made by the quality of the hardware and the connectivity of the data center rather than its location.
How many visitors are supported by your hosting plans?
The number of users supported by the hosting plan depends on the resources of the account and how the site is built and optimized. You can see an estimate in the pricing tables that give you a sense of the visits each plan will be able to hold. Keep in mind that these are indications, not a number written in stone, this is because resource utilization varies from site to site.
Our semidedicated hosting plans include unlimited traffic. So in this case, the number of visits depends on the resources you see shown in the table for each plan. From here you can start to get an idea of the visits your website will be able to support.
Resource utilization is affected by the site, to give an example a static site will have a lower load than a dynamic one. A dynamic site built with WordPress or another CMS will use more resources, but the consumption can be reduced through site optimization.
If you are in doubt, we suggest that you start with the plan that seems best for you. Later, you can upgrade to a higher plan by paying only the difference.
Which scripts are compatible with your hosting?
On our semidedicated hosting accounts we give you the possibility to modify PHP configurations in order to configure the hosting plan according to the needs of your websites. The main scripts are compatible, we have tried to make a list, but if you do not find what you want to use please contact us. We will check the requirements and inform you about their compatibility with our hosting service.

What guarantees do I have if I am not happy with your service?
If you are not happy with the service we offer, you can have your money back within 30 days of purchase. No questions asked.

Which PHP versions are supported on your Semidedicated hosting accounts?
Different PHP versions
are supported on our accounts, you can choose the version that best suits your needs through a simple graphical interface.
You can also configure the PHP options by editing the php.ini to your liking. For security or performance reasons, some options may be limited. Please contact our support for specific needs.
At the moment the following versions are available: 4.4 / 5.1 / 5.2 / 5.3 / 5.4 / 5.5 / 5.6 / 7.0 / 7.1 / 7.2 / 7.3 / 7.4 / 8.0 / 8.1.
I already have a website and I need to transfer it, how can I do that?
All you have to do is to order the hosting plan that you think best suits your website, if you want you can contact us, and we will be more than happy to help you with your choice.
Start the purchase process indicating that you want to transfer your domain
, enter the auth-code
(a migration code also called EPP-CODE or domain password you need to request to your current provider) and proceed with the payment.
During the activation, the system will open a ticket asking you for your old provider’s access data (which you will have to provide us if you want us to take care of the transfer of your website for free). We will take care of everything else.
If we have to transfer your site manually, we will include the transfer of one installation.
How fast will my website be?
We use only top of the range servers with 128GB RAM, SSD and LiteSpeed + LSCache disks to guarantee our customers the maximum performance.
However, the speed of a website does not depend only on the server, it mostly depends on how the website has been created and optimized.
If you optimize WordPress at its best you can achieve loading speeds of 600ms, and have average loading times of 1.2 seconds. A newly installed WordPress website on semidedicated hosting with basic theme loads in 0.7 seconds.

Is your hosting "good" from an SEO point of view?
We always maintain a good reputation for our IPs by blocking sites that do not comply with our terms of service and rules of good conduct. Such as those who maintain pirated material or host pornographic sites on our servers.
We make sure that the reputation of our IPs is always excellent.
In addition, the speed of our servers is viewed favorably by Google, which gives relevance to the speed of the website when deciding who to rank and who not in the SERP (search engine result pages).
Can I move from one plan to another? How?
You can move from one plan to another at any time, paying only the difference and without any downtime. From the client area you will be able to perform the operation. Keep in mind that in some cases we may need to move your account to a different server.
Do you offer a Backup service?
With all Semidedicated hosting plans we provide a daily backup for 30 days. That means that every day the system makes a copy of your account on an external server. We keep the last 30 backups of your website. This way you are always safe, because you can choose between 30 different backups to restore your website to a previous version in case of an issue.
Directly from cPanel you can check the available backups and decide which one to restore. Just follow our step by step tutorials. If you want us to take care of the restore, it costs 20€.
Do you offer an SSL certificate?
Of course! The server generates an SSL certificate
issued by Let’s Encrypt automatically when the domain points to the server.
The SSL certificate is generated not only for the main domain but also for addon domains and subdomains.
Does the price increase upon renewal?
Our pricing policy does not foresee any increase.
Unlike the competition with us the price remains locked.
How much space do I have for emails?
We do not set any space limits for email. The limit is given by the disk space of the plan you choose. This space is used for emails, website files and the database.
If you reach the threshold of available space for your account you will need to delete files or move to a bigger plan.
