Starting from January 2014 the ICANN (Internet Corporation of Assigned Names & Numbers) introduced a new rule that states that every owner must verify the domain contact email for new domain extension and generic domain names like .com, .biz, .info, .mobi, .name, .net, .org
This new rule is applied for all new domain registrations, but also when you update the contact info for a domain, and in some cases when you transfer the domain. If the email address has already been used and confirmed it is not necessary to confirm it again.
Attention: if this verification process is not completed the domain will be set in the “On Hold” status and you website will go offline until the email address is verified.
You can check the status of your domain from our client area. All you need to do is to access our client area, then click on domains on top, or “My Domains” in the left sidebar:
Then click on the icon to manage the domain.
In the left sidebar click on “Send Verification Email” if you want to resend the confirmation email. If you click on “Verify Email” instead, you can see the status of your email address and check to which domains it’s associated.
If you can’t see any of these in the sidebar it means your email address has already been verified.
